20.10.2024 - Video: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo for C64/C128 - New Demo available
In this video you can find some updates on the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo game that is in creation. This adaptation of SSF2T for CBM platforms is based on the GameBoy Advance version called SSF2T Revival, but obviously this version will have something different. This new demo includes the following: - enhanced appearance for all fighters (even if something has to be enhanced yet). - endings for each fighter. - almost all fighting dynamics implemented (for example, throw escapes)

08.08.2024 - SNK vs CAPCOM Stronger Edition for C64/C128
In this video you can find a link to another version of the game SNK vs CAPCOM. It's SNK vs CAPCOM - Stronger Edition, with 16 additional fighters add to the roster, for a total of 32 fighters to play with. Currently it's a work-in-progress, since the backdrops and musics to assign to the new fighters need to be completed, but the AI, endings, animations, etc, are almost complete.
In this video you can find a link to another version of the game SNK vs CAPCOM. It's SNK vs CAPCOM - Stronger Edition, with 16 additional fighters add to the roster, for a total of 32 fighters to play with. Robin was going to make a video about fixing the music player code in the C64 game Frantic Freddie so it would also work on the Commodore 128. But changing a bunch of $D5 bytes to $D4 really didn't seem all that interesting to him anymore. While he was contemplating this, patron James Poll pointed out a little glitch in the 2nd Interlude that suddenly became VERY interesting...

Within this link you can find another update for C64 version of SNK vs CAPCOM and a specific version of the same game for C128, that implements the stage scrolling deal. The C128 version can be written in a standard 1Mb EasyFlash or KungFu Flash cartridge. For the Kung Fu Flash, it requires the WarpSpeed capability in the cartridge firmware in order for the game to run properly.As for all the previous versions, the C128 version can get other updates as well, so stay tuned.

It's actually pretty easy to add support for command-line-style parameters to Commodore 64 and Commodore 128 programs by reading the line input buffer with some PEEKs. We examine how to do this, why this might be beneficial, and give some example code in BASIC and Assembly. We also learn a bit about how BASIC parses and interprets our code, and the internal structure of these commands and programs. And we look at the Commodore 128 feature to RUN a file from disk that further enhances the use of parameters.

'Evening Star' is a vector graphics train simulation game that was published by Hewson Consultants in 1987 for C64 and other 8-bit systems as sequel to the game 'Southern Belle'. This new enhanced version by Grue od Beyond Force offers, besides small touches and polish, a bunch of speed enhancements: - C128 2Mhz mode in the borders. - REU support for Gfx Buffer and copying it to the bitmap. - speed code for places it needs to be. - Pixel plotting integrated into line drawing routine. - Game math speed improvements. - Smoke drawing routine rework. - overhauled 3D engine and objects into a more optimized form.
